Hypixel SkyBlock 0.26.1 Update Guide: Healing Revamp, Harvest Feast & New-Player Changes
Last verified · Patch 0.26.1
Hypixel SkyBlock 0.26.1 went live on July 22, 2026. It is a large polishing update rather than a new island: early farming and accessory progression are easier to understand, Harvest Feast gains new items and Sprayonator tiers, and healing is rebuilt around Vitality as a spendable resource. The damage pass shipped alongside it matters just as much, lowering incoming damage across Dungeons, Slayers, Kuudra, the Crimson Isle and several other combat areas.
0.26.1 is live as of July 22. This guide is based on the official Hypixel 0.26.1 patch notes, then cross-checked against transcript material from Derailious’s final-alpha changes recap and Skeptik’s hands-on Blaze Slayer test. Both videos were recorded on the release-candidate build shortly before launch, so their testing is useful practical context, not a substitute for the live notes.
The short version
The patch has three headline changes:
- New-player progression is clearer and cheaper. Beginner Sacks, a linear farming-armor path, nine default Accessory Bag slots and cheaper Personal Compactors remove several early friction points.
- Harvest Feast has more long-term upgrades. The Orchid Mantis Pet, Thorny equipment reforge, permanent Overbloom burgers and two Sprayonator upgrades create new progression targets, while the Disco Destination now only handles offline Pests.
- Healing is now a limited combat resource. Vitality no longer multiplies healing; it pays for healing abilities and regenerates over time. Hypixel paired that restriction with broad enemy-damage reductions and a much stronger early-to-mid Catacombs stat curve.
This is not an alpha watch anymore. The mechanics below are live, although Hypixel says it remains open to post-release damage and healing adjustments if particular content became harder than intended.
New-player improvements
Beginner Sacks are a new entry tier that holds up to 640 of each supported item. Their recipes unlock at Collection Tier II, or new players can buy them from the relevant skill merchant for 250 coins. They are intentionally small, but remove the inventory-management wall before a player can afford normal Sacks.
Farming armor now follows one readable upgrade chain:
| Tier | Previous name | Live 0.26.1 name | Progression |
|---|---|---|---|
| I | Farm Suit | Farmhand Armor | Moved earlier in Wheat Collection |
| II | Farm Armor | Haymaker Armor | Upgrades from Farmhand; cheaper and now COMMON |
| III | Pumpkin Armor | Sprout Armor | Upgrades from Haymaker; Carrot Collection VIII |
| IV | Melon Armor | Tater Armor | Upgrades from Sprout; Potato Collection IX |
| Later | — | Cropie → Squash → Fermento → Helianthus | Existing late-game line continues from Tater |
Rabbit Armor is cheaper and now focuses on mobility and Jump Boost rather than Farming Fortune. The Barn gains a Husbandry Merchant selling Basic Animal Axes; Jake’s previous axes become stronger Advanced Animal Axes and require their Basic version. The Farmhand NPC now gives a COMMON Chicken Pet, the Rookie Hoe gains +5 Farming Fortune, and a new Rookie Farming Axe joins the Farm Merchant. Basic Gardening tools rise to +10 Farming Fortune and Advanced Gardening tools to +15.
Accessory progression is less opaque too. Every profile starts with nine Accessory Bag slots, Redstone Collection is condensed to nine tiers, and the nine slots removed from that collection are the same nine now granted by default. “Magical Power” is renamed Accessory Power, accessories display their contribution directly, and the bag and Power Stone descriptions explain the system more clearly.
Other useful changes include:
- Personal Compactors require less Redstone at every tier.
- Experience Bottles no longer have an NPC purchase cap.
- Bookshelf Power is removed; no enchantment requires it anymore.
- Rosetta’s early gear is stronger, and the Bartender gives an Undead Sword when his quest begins.
- The new Magic For Pets In A Hurry Pet Item unlocks through Sugar Cane Collection VII.
/warps,/islandand/privateislandare new command aliases.- Equipment, Accessories, Runes, Sacks, Minion items and Compactors receive clearer prompts or descriptions.
Bookshelf Power is not merely reduced: it is gone, and Enchanted Bookshelves no longer have an enchanting function. That removes their primary demand driver. Do not assume an old historical price is a floor; check current orders and volume before buying or holding a large stack.
Harvest Feast: new progression and a narrower Disco Destination
The new Harvest Feast items add permanent and equipment-based Overbloom progression:
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Orchid Mantis Pet | Grants Overbloom and Speed; up to +20% Farming Tool XP, up to +1 Farming Fortune per 3 Speed, and up to a 0.02% chance for Jelly or Plant Matter while farming |
| Blooming Thorns | Applies the Thorny reforge to Equipment, granting Farming Fortune and Overbloom plus more Overbloom per Thorns tier on armor |
| Feast Burger With A Side of Deepfries | Consumable up to five times for a permanent +1 Overbloom each time |
| Juicy Nozzle | Upgrades the Sprayonator to 45-minute effects and lets three materials provide twice the base effect |
| Salty Nozzle | Upgrades Juicy to a 60-minute effect and lets five materials provide three times the base effect |
The release path is Sprayonator → Juicy Sprayonator → Salty Sprayonator. The Salty Nozzle uses Salted Sunflower Seeds; it is not the earlier alpha’s Groovy Nozzle. Derailious’s transcript specifically catches this late rename and the switch to a 3× top-tier spray effect.
Buzzybee’s Fantabulous Disco Destination survived the alpha, but only corrals Pests that spawn while the player is offline. It no longer concentrates actively spawned Pests. Its recipe loses Salted Sunflower Seeds and uses slightly less Botroot. That preserves an offline quality-of-life use without restoring the active Pest loop that caused the original balance concern.
Several existing farming items changed as well:
- Jacob’s Participation Medal becomes the Jacob’s Entertainment System, a Minion Upgrade; the old item is legacy.
- Feast events now select four crops per season instead of three.
- Every Feast RARE CROP now has a 50,000-coin NPC sell price.
- Each Donation Tier awards five Carnival Tickets.
- The Rarefinder Chip caps at +50 Overbloom instead of +60.
- Lucky Clover and Poignant Lucky Clover grant +7 and +13 Overbloom.
- MYTHIC Elephant gains +50 base Farming Fortune and Abundant Harvest rises to +20% Sowdust.
- Mooshroom Cow gains a chance to find Cheese or Dung; Bee gains a chance to find Honey Jars.
- Royal Jelly needs half as much Floral Gelatin, and Bea now sells Honey Dippers that upgrade a COMMON Bee.
The clearest economic winners are materials needed for the new permanent or high-tier upgrades, but launch demand can be extremely front-loaded. Compare actual volume with SkyCofl top movers before chasing a spike.
Healing Revamp: Vitality is now something you spend
Every player has 100 base Vitality. Your Vitality stat is now both the maximum size of a resource pool and the basis for its regeneration. The pool regenerates by 5% of maximum Vitality per second: 100 Vitality restores 5 per second, while 200 restores 10. Vitality no longer multiplies the amount healed.
That changes healing from “cast whenever mana allows” into a pacing decision. A few of the most important live values are:
| Source | Live behavior |
|---|---|
| Zombie Swords | Cost 25 Vitality; heal 320 / 420 / 500 HP depending on tier, with 20% of that healing shared nearby |
| Healing Wands | Cost 25 Vitality; provide tier-dependent flat healing over 5–6 seconds |
| Gloomlock Grimoire | Heals 1,000 HP for 45 Vitality with no cooldown; Life Tap costs 800 HP and no longer applies its old damage debuff |
| Power Orbs | Retain the 50% max-mana cost and also cost 50 Vitality; provide Health Regen plus flat HP/s, with teammate healing halved |
| Flares | Cost 10 Vitality in addition to mana and provide 30 / 40 / 50 HP/s on the Crimson Isle and in Kuudra’s Lair |
| Wither Shield | Costs 50 Vitality; absorption scales from Catacombs level, keeps 10% damage reduction, no longer heals on expiry, and refunds unused Vitality based on shield remaining |
| Wither Cloak Sword | Uses veil layers; each layer costs 30 Vitality and blocks up to 1,000 damage before Dungeon scaling |
Healing enchants now use flat values. Life Steal heals a fixed amount per hit, Drain grants Vitality per hit, Vampirism heals on kill, and Rejuvenate and Respite grant Health Regen. Refrigerate caps at 600 Defense across four pieces, and Last Stand becomes a 10-second buff triggered below 40% health with a 30-second cooldown.
The Mastiff and Pooch Sword pairing is also rebuilt. Mastiff no longer converts its enormous old health pool into damage; it receives new flat stats and up to +40% HP based on Crit Damage. Pooch Sword becomes a more conventional Wolf Slayer weapon, gaining damage from Wolf Slayer level and multipliers against Wolves and while using Mastiff or Armor of the Pack.
Carry an intentional active-healing option instead of assuming passive hit healing will refill you. Power Orbs and Wither Shield compete for a 50-Vitality chunk, while a Healing Wand or Zombie Sword costs 25. Drain is now resource generation, not direct healing, so pairing it with an actual Vitality spender is the important part.
Slayers: less incoming damage, but less passive recovery
Killing a Slayer boss now starts a recovery effect. Healing per second depends on boss tier—40 at T1, 80 at T2, 120 at T3, 160 at T4 and 200 at T5—while duration rises from six seconds at base to ten seconds at Slayer Level 8. It does not activate in the Rift.
Enderman Slayer damage falls substantially: a T4’s base damage drops from 21,000 to 13,500, Dissonance to 5,400, Malevolent Hitshield to 2,000 and T4 Nukekubi Fixations to 1,500.
Blaze Slayer receives major reductions. Burningsoul Demon damage drops from 30,000 to 9,000, the post-kill polarization immunity lasts ten seconds, and Blaze Pillars can be destroyed without a Wisp Pet. T4 Inferno Demonlord flat true damage is 385 / 575 / 955 across its three phases, replacing percentage-based true damage. The Demonslayer Gauntlet rises from +5 to +20 True Defense and gains 1.15× damage against Infernal mobs.
Skeptik tested this exact release-candidate direction across multiple T4 Blaze bosses. His practical result was more nuanced than “damage nerf equals easier”: the boss attacks were manageable, but starting a boss below full health was much riskier because the old passive recovery was gone. The post-kill Slayer heal also amounts to only 2,000 total HP in its best T5/Slayer-8 case, which can be small for a late-game health pool. His recommendation was to plan around an active heal such as a Wand or Wither Impact rather than relying on Drain alone.
Skeptik also compared Demonslayer Gauntlet with Manticore Claw in the alpha test. Demonslayer was far cheaper and much safer because of its True Defense, while Manticore still produced slightly better damage in his repeated dummy tests, particularly from damage-over-time effects. Treat that as one creator’s pre-release test—not a universal best-in-slot ruling—but it makes Demonslayer the obvious value option to retest on live.
Dungeons: a much stronger progression curve
All Catacombs healing now scales with Dungeon Stat Boost. Health Regen and Vitality on items are not separately boosted, because Health Regen already benefits from the larger health pool and each point of Vitality already buys Dungeon-scaled healing.
The new Catacombs curve gives earlier levels far more stats:
| Catacombs level | Old → new stat boost | Approximate impact from Hypixel |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | 55% → 85% | ~40% more damage, ~25% more EHP |
| 20 | 120% → 185% | ~75% more damage, ~45% more EHP |
| 30 | 205% → 285% | ~75% more damage, ~45% more EHP |
| 40 | 315% → 385% | ~50% more damage, ~30% more EHP |
| 50 | 475% → 485% | ~5% more damage, ~3% more EHP |
Dungeon mob damage gets a baseline 10% reduction, with further reductions before Master Mode. Many difficult-to-avoid sources receive larger cuts, and traps are less punitive: Fire and Arrow Traps fall from 50% to 15% HP, Crusher from 100% to 30%, and Tripwire from 33% to 15%. Numerous percentage-true-damage boss mechanics become regular flat damage instead.
Classes change with the new model. Berserk gains multiplicative melee damage per level and faster Lust for Blood scaling, but Bloodlust healing moves from per hit to per kill. Mage gains Ability Damage, Healer gains Vitality and flat Mending with self-healing now affected by Mending, and Tank gains Vitality. Healer’s Healing Circle falls from 2% to 1% max HP per second, and Archer’s ghost Healing Bow falls from 20% to 10% max HP.
Crimson Isle, Kuudra and other damage changes
Crimson Isle miniboss loot now requires 250,000 contribution damage instead of 500,000. Ashfang’s Gravity Orb deals 5,000 damage per second instead of instantly killing the player, its blaze healing falls to 250,000 and its blazes have 2 million HP. Bladesoul, Mage Outlaw, Barbarian Duke and Magma Boss all receive survivability-oriented changes.
Kuudra’s general mob damage is halved. Dropships and Chaosmites get tier-based flat values, while Omegagma, Wandering Blaze and Blazing Golem lose max-HP or percentage-HP scaling on major attacks. This is intended to keep endgame Kuudra sustainable despite the reduced availability of healing.
The same design reaches other areas:
- Sea creatures including Nessie, Blue Ring Octopus, Thunder, Lord Jawbus and Ragnarok deal less or flatter damage.
- Mythological Ritual enemies replace several max-HP true-damage attacks with flat regular damage.
- Dragon Rush, Fireball and Lightning true-damage portions become 550, 200 and 200 respectively.
- Glacite mob base damage is reduced.
- Campfire challenges become 20% true and 80% regular damage and no longer require damage-negation items.
- Mithril Grubbers can drop Plasma, providing a fishing-based alternative to Ghosts.
- Explosive Arrows no longer hurt their user.
What to do first
- Rebuild one combat loadout around a deliberate healing loop. Choose where the Vitality goes: a 50-cost Orb or Wither Shield, a 25-cost Wand or Zombie Sword, or another active source. Do not count Drain as healing by itself.
- Retest content instead of trusting old thresholds. Catacombs stats, enemy damage and healing all changed simultaneously, so an old effective-health or boss-time benchmark is no longer comparable.
- Claim the cheap early conveniences on new profiles. Beginner Sacks, default Accessory Bag space, the Chicken Pet and streamlined farming gear remove enough friction to change an efficient early route.
- Avoid buying Harvest Feast materials into launch hype without checking volume. Permanent Overbloom creates real demand, but the first-day price can still overshoot the eventual crafting demand.
- Exit obsolete assumptions. Enchanted Bookshelves lost their use, the active Disco Destination loop is gone, and the Salty—not Groovy—Sprayonator is the final live nozzle tier.
Hypixel explicitly invited post-release feedback on content that became harder despite the damage reductions. If a fight feels worse, record the activity, tier, health, defense, Vitality and healing setup; that is much more actionable than reporting that healing “feels bad” without a reproducible loadout.
